Your house That is a Metaphor for Barbados

The Elder's Last Word. The old man increased slowly, cleaning sand from his pants. He turned toward the little wood home as though looking at an old pal.
" One day," he stated, "people gon' forget what this house truly indicate. They gon' think it was just pretty wood and bright paint. However you-- you compose the story now. Make certain they remember.".
He paused, letting the sea-grape leaves rustle in the stillness.
" This house is we. All the moving, all the surviving, all the dreams we pack up and carry from one location to the next. When you comprehend that, you understand Barbados.".
And with that, he left-- sluggish, stable, calm-- like a guy who carried his own home inside him.
