Barbados Beach Culture and Beyond. Bajans are a variety of cultural heritage from Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean. The island's history of slavery and colonization has left a long lasting impact on the Bajan individuals, and their culture shows this mix of impacts and origins. In spite of these historical challenges, Barbadians are well-known for their sturdiness and heart. They are friendly and welcoming.
